How Sailor compares

Sailor 与其他起步方案的对照,只写能查证的事实。

Five ways to start a TypeScript product, side by side. Every cell is a fact from the project's own README, pricing page or source code. Where a project does not say, the table says so.

Side by side

Facts checked on 2026-10-16. Prices are what each site showed that day, including any promotion.

Best forProducts that must take money worldwide and in China, with tenants isolated in the databaseComposing your own TypeScript stack, web to desktop and mobile, for a coding agentA solo founder shipping a first paid product fastTeams and agencies who want a paid kit, a choice of payment providers and supportA small, typesafe Next.js app that you extend with your own libraries

When to pick something else

Sailor makes the choices for you and ships the production layer whole. That is the wrong trade for some projects.

  • vibestartPick vibestart when you want to choose each layer yourself, including MySQL, MongoDB, Electron or Expo, and start from a few dozen files.
  • create-t3-appPick create-t3-app when you want the smallest typesafe Next.js start with tRPC, and you will choose the rest. It has the largest community of the five.
  • ShipFastPick ShipFast when you are one founder launching on Stripe or Lemon Squeezy with MongoDB or Supabase, and the course that comes with it helps you.
  • SupastarterPick Supastarter when you need Nuxt or TanStack Start, want to choose among five payment providers, or want paid seats with support.
  • SailorPick Sailor when you charge in China and worldwide, need tenant isolation enforced by Postgres, and want a gateway, audit and metering from the first commit.
